A Review of the U.S. Supreme Court: Its Docket, Where It Is Now, and Where It Is Likely to Go

A program featuring Erwin Chemerinsky, Founding Dean and Distinguished Professor of Law, University of California, Irvine School of Law*

As part of our continuing efforts to bring premium programming to our members, the Appellate Lawyers Association is pleased to announce and offer an informative and engaging CLE program featuring Dean Erwin Chemerinsky, which was recorded at a CLE luncheon at The Standard Club in Chicago on April 21, 2017.

Dean Chemerinsky discusses five topics relating to the U.S. Supreme Court: the possible outcomes of a 4-4 split on the Court; the pivotal role of Justice Anthony Kennedy; the centrality of issues relating to race in many of the Court’s cases; the confirmation of Justice Neil Gorsuch; and the long-term picture for the Court.

Dean Chemerinsky is an expert on constitutional law, federal practice, civil rights, civil liberties, and appellate litigation. He is the author of ten books and more than 200 law review articles. He frequently argues appellate cases, including in the U.S. Supreme Court.

For only $25, you can view the program on any device with Internet access (including a computer, smart phone, tablet, or TV) anywhere in the world, at your convenience. And you will receive one hour of CLE credit.

(*In May 2017, Dean Chemerinsky was named Dean of the University of California Berkeley School of Law and will assume that position in July 2017.)
