The Roberts Court at Ten: A Reporter’s Reflections

Adam Liptak, New York Times
Supreme Court Correspondent

As part of our continuing efforts to bring premium programming to our members, the Appellate Lawyers Association is pleased to announce and offer an informative and engaging CLE program recorded live at the Union League Club of Chicago, featuring Adam Liptak of the New York Times

For only $25, you can view the program on any device with Internet access (including computer, smart phone, tablet, or TV). And you will receive one hour of CLE credit.

Among the most widely recognized and respected voices in national legal journalism, Mr. Liptak graduated from Yale Law School and worked at a New York law firm before joining The New York Times Company’s legal department in 1992. He has covered the Supreme Court since 2008. His front-page stories and regular “Sidebar” column have come to play a critical role in our national dialogue on the law and our judicial system. Mr. Liptak’s work also has appeared in The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Business Week, and the American Lawyer. He was a Pulitzer Prize finalist in 2009, and he received the Scripps Howard Award in 2010 for a series of pieces on the Roberts Court.

At this event, Mr. Liptak offered his reflections on the Supreme Court’s last decade, discussed the challenges and rewards he faces as a national legal reporter, and shared stories from the front lines covering our nation’s highest court.
