Roundtable Luncheon Featuring the Justices of the Illinois Appellate Court, Third District, and Free E-Filing Presentation
The Appellate Lawyers Association invites you to attend its Third District MCLE program: Roundtable Luncheon Featuring the Justices of the Appellate Court of Illinois, Third District. This event provides a unique opportunity to interact with the Justices and gain the perspective of the other side of the bench.
After the luncheon, Tyler Technologies will offer an e-filing presentation, covering such topics as: (1) filing fees; (2) the Illinois Supreme Court mandate requiring e-filing; (3) implementation of the mandate around the State; (4) the mechanics of e-filing; and (5) third-party vendors who can be retained to provide e-filing services to the bar. This presentation is free to attendees, including those who wish to attend only the e-filing presentation.
Date: Thursday, June 8, 2017
Time: Pre-registration is necessary for both portions of the program. Check-in for the luncheon will begin at 11:45 a.m., and lunch will be served promptly at 12:00 p.m. The luncheon will finish at 1:30 p.m., and check-in for the e-filing presentation will begin at 1:45 p.m. The e-filing presentation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
MCLE: Participants will earn one hour of MCLE credit for the luncheon, 1.5 hours of MCLE credit for the e-filing presentation, and 2.5 hours of MCLE credit for attending both events. The ALA is an approved MCLE provider.
Location: Uptown Grill (banquet room), 601 1st Street, LaSalle, Illinois
Cost: The luncheon is $25 for public-sector ALA members; $30 for private-sector ALA members; $35 for public-sector nonmembers; and $40 for private-sector nonmembers. The e-filing presentation is free; however, attendees must pre-register.
