Advanced Appellate Practice Seminar

The Appellate Lawyers Association invites you to attend its Advanced Appellate Practice Seminar.  The moderator will be ALA President Evan Siegel.  Topics and presenters will be:

•    Extra-Record Facts, former ALA President Michael Scodro;

•    Final Judgments in Non-Final Litigation, Don Sampen;

•    People v. Drew Peterson: Resolving Conflicts between Court Rules and Statutes, ALA Director Leah Bendik;

•    Appellate Trivia, former ALA President Karen DeGrand; and

•    E-Filing Update, Thomas Palella, Clerk, or Tina Schillaci, Chief Deputy Clerk, Appellate Court, First District; and Patricia O’Brien, Chief Deputy Clerk, Civil Appeals Division, Circuit Court of Cook County.

Date:  Thursday, April 19, 2018

Time:  1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

MCLE:  Participants will earn 3.75 hours of MCLE credit.  The ALA is an approved MCLE provider.

Location:  Quarles and Brady LLP, 300 North LaSalle Street, Suite 4000, Chicago, Illinois

Cost:  $35 for public-sector ALA members; $50 for private-sector ALA members; $50 for public-sector nonmembers; and $75 for private-sector nonmembers.

Cancellations/Refunds: Cancellations must be received two business days prior to the event in order to receive a full refund. No refunds will be processed after this time.
